Elizabeth Seton High School Welcomes Home Cabria Johnson, '09 as New Head Basketball Coach

Elizabeth Seton High School announces the hiring of Cabria Johnson ’09, who will assume the role of varsity basketball head coach for the Roadrunners. Most recently, Coach Johnson served as assistant coach for the girls’ varsity basketball program at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC. She is the Executive Director of Team Durant and the 16U EYBL Head Girls AAU Basketball Coach. "Cabria is a passionate and highly motivated educator with a proven track record of developing young people academically and athletically", says Athletic Director Candy Cage. "You will know right away that she is a person of high character who loves Elizabeth Seton, loves coaching and loves the sport of basketball. We are excited to welcome Cabria back home." 

Coach Johnson helped lead Sidwell Friends to a 2022 ISL Championship as well as two DCSAA State Championships. She lead Sidwell Friends to ESPN #1 team in the Nation in 2022 and #2 in 2023, and has coached at St. Vincent Pallotti and Oxon Hill High School. Johnson was a four year letterwinner for Elizabeth Seton and continued her playing career on scholarship at Howard University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Sports Management, Magna Cum Laude, as well as her Master's Degree in Social Work.
