Seton Sports During The Pandemic

In October, our soccer and volleyball teams' both had intra squad scrimmages, wearing pink jerseys, to recognize October Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our volleyball and basketball teams are participating in Fall Leagues and the rest of the Seton Teams have all been practicing and having weekly virtual team meetings to discuss selecting a college, politics, movies and many current events. The one sport that can compete is Cross Country. Our girls were able to participate in three cross country races and did extremely well!  We truly are making the most of these difficult times.

It is tough to say when we will be able to get back to competing in the WCAC, but the plans are to begin our winter sports season in January, followed by our Fall season and then Spring Sports. These seasons may be shorter and may not have fans in the crowd, but if we can compete safely, we will be ready to go!

On a personal note, I have spent over 30 years as a teacher, coach and currently our Director of Athletics and I never thought I would see the day when we would cancel a season like we did last spring. I am amazed at how dedicated our coaches and student athletes are and have admired their enthusiasm, even though things have not been easy. When we can compete again, you can count on our Roadrunners being ready!
GO ROADRUNNERS!
