Keita '21 Awarded Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship

Nana Keita '21 has been awarded the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship from the Western Golf Association (WGA) Scholarship Committee: a full housing and tuition college scholarship to one of the 17 universities where The Evans Scholars Foundation operates a Scholarship House.

Chosen because of her excellent academics and outstanding character, Nana entered the Western Golf Association (WGA) Caddie Academy, where for the past summers, she learned to caddy at golf courses along Chicago’s North Shore. Students who successfully complete the Caddie Academy are eligible to become Evans Scholars through the Evans Scholars Foundation. Established by famed amateur golfer Charles “Chick” Evans Jr., the Foundation provides full housing and tuition scholarships to deserving caddies nationwide. There are a record 965 Evans Scholars enrolled in 19 leading universities for the 2017-18 academic year, and there are more than 10,600 Evans Alumni across the country.

Keita ‘21, of Greenbelt, is the daughter of Assiatou Diallo and Abdoulaye Keita. She is considering attending Penn State University in the fall.
