Vincentian Service Club Friends of the Poor Walk
The Vincentian Service Club will sponsor our annual Friends of the Poor Walk on Saturday morning, September 26th, from 9 - 10:30am. This year's walk will raise money for local families who are struggling financially due to the effects of Covid-19. Our walk will be both in-person and virtual.
We will host a max of 50 people on campus to walk. Walkers will not be able to walk in groups, but will be staggered individually, with masks, to maintain proper social distance.
In order to keep track of the number of people at our in-person walk, all registrations must be made online, with a registration fee of $10.
Cash and check donations(not registrations)may be brought to the walk or dropped off at the main office between 8am and 2pm, Monday-Friday.
Those joining us in solidarity at their homes or other locations are asked to take a selfie or a screenshot of steps walked and use #roadrunnerswalking to post pictures.
Students will receive 1.5 service hours for this event. Service hours will be verified by your online registration.
Bring a filled water bottle; water will NOT be provided on the track this year.
Bring the signed, on-campus COVID-19 form found here: COVID-19 Form
All participants, both in-person and virtual, are asked to register HERE.Registration is $10. Donations of all amounts are appreciated. Thanks in advance for your generosity!
