Head Junior Varsity Cheerleading Coach
Elizabeth Seton High School is searching for a Head Junior Varsity Cheerleading Coach. The successful candidate will develop character, sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline in addition to helping players maximize their ability to play at the highest level. The Head Coach works closely with the Athletic Director to create the schedule, arrange the use of the facility, and manage the budget. They model good sportsmanship adhere to our school’s rules and the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.
Educate individuals, groups, or teams on the rules, strategies, and techniques for sport.
Plans, organize and lead practice sessions.
Trains encourage and motivate athletes to prepare them for competition.
Teaches safety rules and regulations and ensures they are enforced.
Develops physical conditioning programs that equip athletes to meet their potential.
Evaluate team members to determine fitness levels and potential; assigns positions or roles to athletes based on strengths and weaknesses.
Identifies the strengths and weaknesses of players and modifies coaching strategies accordingly.
Knowledgeable of current rules and regulations, coaching philosophies and techniques, and technology relevant to sport or sports.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Extensive knowledge of the assigned sport.
Ability to work with student-athletes.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities in all weather conditions.
Prolonged periods of standing or walking.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
