Instrumental Scholarships

Program Summary:
The Instrumental Department at Elizabeth Seton High School offers scholarships to dedicated instrumentalists. We encourage talented musicians to continue with their musical pursuits while here at Seton by offering them tuition assistance. Scholarships will be awarded to selected freshmen based upon specific factors as outlined in the criteria. Scholarship amounts are up to $1,200. 


Arts application
Criteria
Students must demonstrate the following;
  • Incoming Freshman
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • Instrumental proficiency- technique articulation, characteristic tone, good intonation, and range
  • Sight-reading skills
  • Knowledge of scales
  • Students should have a prepared musical selection of their choice
  • Special consideration will be given to students who play instruments that broaden our instrumentation, specifically brass players and percussionists.
