Seton Virtual Student Life

FAITH & FORMATION

Faith That Grounds Her. Formation That Guides Her.

At Seton, education is never only academic. It is spiritual. It is communal. It is deeply human.

Seton Virtual carries forward the Vincentian tradition that has shaped generations of Seton women — forming young women who lead with compassion, courage, and purpose. Faith is not an extra layer added onto the program. It is woven into the rhythm of daily life.

Students take a religious class each year they are enrolled. They pray together each morning, and study religion as part of their academic formation. They gather for liturgy, service, and reflection both online and on campus.

Even in a virtual model, she grows within a community rooted in faith.

Vincentian Formation

Seton Virtual remains rooted in the mission and charism of the Daughters of Charity.

Students engage with the school’s Mission Integration and Campus Ministry programs, , connecting faith with action through reflection, service, and community engagement. Students have ongoing access to:

  • Campus Ministry programming
  • Mentorship from Mission Integration leaders
  • Retreat opportunities alongside Seton’s in-person students

Faith formation is not limited by the learning model.

Service Learning

Service remains an essential part of the Seton experience. At Elizabeth Seton High School, we believe faith comes alive in the way our students serve, lead, and love. Here, service is not simply something students do, it is part of who they become. With flexible opportunities that meet students where they are and call them toward something greater, each young woman is invited to use her gifts in ways that are meaningful, purposeful, and deeply rooted in compassion.

Students must complete at least 60 hours by the time of graduation as well as meeting their grade level requirement each academic year. Through Service to the Poor & Vulnerable, Service to the Church, Service to the School, and Awareness and Advocacy Work, Seton students encounter the world with open hearts and a strong sense of responsibility. In the process, they deepen their faith, strengthen their voice, and discover that leadership begins with serving others.

This is the beauty of a Seton education: young women are formed not only for academic success, but for lives of purpose, impact, and joyful service.
