FAQ

Who can apply for financial aid?

Any family who believes they may need assistance paying tuition may apply. Financial aid is awarded based on demonstrated financial need and available funds.

How do I apply for financial aid?

Applications are submitted online through Blackbaud Financial Aid Management. You will create an account, complete the application, upload required documents, and pay the application fee.

Is there a deadline to apply?

Yes. Financial aid applications and all required documents must be submitted by the school’s stated deadline. Late applications may result in reduced awards or no award at all.

What documents will I need to submit?

Typical required documents include:

  • Your most recent federal income tax return (all schedules)

  • W-2 forms or proof of income

  • Documentation of non-taxable income (Social Security, child support, etc.)

  • Additional documents if self-employed (e.g., profit/loss statement)
Is there a fee to apply?

Yes. Blackbaud charges a non-refundable processing fee payable online when you submit your application.

Can I apply for financial aid after my child is accepted?

Yes, but funding is limited. It’s best to apply at the same time as your admission application.

Do I have to apply every year?

Yes. Financial aid awards are for one academic year only. Families must reapply annually to be considered for aid.

How is financial aid determined?

Blackbaud analyzes your financial information and provides a need-based recommendation to the school. The school’s Financial Aid Committee reviews the recommendation and makes the final award decision based on available funds.

Will applying for financial aid affect my child’s admission chances?

No. Financial aid applications are reviewed separately from the admissions process.

When will I know if I’ve been awarded aid?

Decisions are typically sent 2–3 weeks after your application and documents are complete. The exact timeline may vary by school.

What if my financial situation changes after the deadline?
If you experience an unexpected hardship (job loss, illness, etc.), contact the Admissions or Business Office. You may be asked to submit updated documentation for reconsideration (Appeal)
Is financial aid guaranteed once I receive it?
No. Awards may change from year to year based on your financial circumstances and the school’s available funds.
