Seton Spotlight: Kathy Rodeffer P '19 '22

By Milana Lamar ‘21

On behalf of the Elizabeth Seton High School community, we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge one of our faithful donors, Ms. Kathy Rodeffer.

Ms. Rodeffer was first introduced to the Seton community when her niece, Rebecca Vaughn, graduated in 2014. A year later, her eldest daughter, Sarah ‘19, enrolled, followed by her young daughter, Grace ‘22.
“My first memories of Seton are attending the concerts,” Ms. Rodeffer said. “My niece was in the band and in the gospel choir. I have enjoyed having my daughters involved in the band program and look forward to the time when we can return to in person musical performances.”

Ms. Rodeffer supports Seton because of the integrity and our school motto that is instilled in the students.
“I support Elizabeth Seton High School because I wholeheartedly believe in the school's commitment to cultivating confidence in young women and I believe that the non-academic learning that occurs about integrity, creativity, diversity and inclusivity, respect for all, and service to others is integral to the formation of strong young women who will make a positive contribution to the world around them,” Ms. Rodeffer said.
“The school leadership, teachers, and staff work hard to instill ‘The Light to Know and the Grace to Do’ in all of their students.  Any school can have strong academics.  In my mind, it is the other experiences that make a good school GREAT!”
