Seton Names Sweeney, Valedictorian and Akintoba, Salutatorian

It is with great joy and pride that we announce that Nora Sweeney, daughter of Amanda and Stephen Sweeney, of Washington, DC, has been named Valedictorian and Anjola Akintoba, daughter of Edore and Omotayo Akintoba, of Fort Washington, MD, has been named Salutatorian of the Class of 2020 of Elizabeth Seton High School.
This announcement comes with untold compliments not simply for their highest averages among the class, but also for their lived example of Seton’s core values. We commend these young women for their admirable work ethic, stellar class participation and dedication to their studies, including excellent writing and critical thinking skills and a willingness to allow learning to affect their choices and values. These young women open their hearts wide to those with multiple misfortunes and abundant needs, thus allowing Seton to be a place of grace and a face of love in the community. Anjola and Nora have embodied well the light to know and the grace to do! Please pray for them as Nora pursues her studies at Swarthmore College and Anjola pursues her studies at the University of Maryland.
