Dramatic Arts

The Elizabeth Seton High School Theater Program is centered on the knowledge that theater is an art and institution with a vital role in culture.
Through it, we gain insight into the human experience, both past and present. The ESHS Theater Program emphasizes the reciprocal relationship between scholarly study and practical training, offering the study of Greek tragedy, Shakespeare and other classics, paired with core studio classes in modern acting techniques, character study, voice and movement.

The Seton Theatre Company

An extension of the academic and practical classroom training, the Theater Program also includes an after-school club which meets twice weekly. The Seton Theatre Company allows serious theater students the opportunity to perform in open house presentations as well as a fall play and spring musical. These productions are designed to not only give students on-stage experience, but also behind-the-scenes training in the theater arts such as stage management and lighting, set and costume design.
