Best memory from your Seton experience so far?
Seton's field days so much fun. There are bouncy houses and many other games. My personal favorite game is the dunk tank, where students have to hit a target to dump a teacher into a pool of water! Sophomore year field day we watched our teachers get dunked. It was hilarious!

    Favorite Seton Tradition
This tradition is a well-known one, but I love the Big Sister/Little Sister program. I loved the fact that I had someone to guide me through the school year. My big sister was really nice and it was even better knowing that she was on the tennis team with me.

    Extra-curricular Activities
My freshman year, I decided to keep it small so the only activity i participated in was tennis. I loved everything about it. The bus trips, the wins, and the restaurants we went to. It was a great first experience or playing competitively. My teammates were also really nice on the first day of tryouts and we all got really close by the first month.

    Favorite Class
My favorite class is Health. Even though we only had it for half a semester, my notebook was filled with notes from class. Every learning style was included which was amazing. I learned so many things from the class and was engaged in every class discussion.

    Favorite Teacher
My favorite teacher is Señora Gerber. She’s nice, patient, with every student, and keeps us entertained all while keeping it on a professional level. She is also always there to help. One thing so far about distance learning that you have found yourself appreciating.
While I’m socially distanced I took it upon myself to meet some of the incoming freshmen. along the process, I made some new friends and reconnected with old ones. I appreciate my new friendships and I know it’ll feel good to know people when coming into a new environment.

Best memory from your Seton experience so far
My favorite memory from Seton so far was spirit week. I loved coming in each day and seeing everyone’s crazy ideas and outfits. Even the teachers participated. My friends and I also tried to collaborate on our outfits which was really fun.

One thing so far about distance learning that you have found yourself appreciating.
I've learned to appreciate the time to myself. I normally don't get a lot of it, but now I have more than enough.

    Favorite Seton Tradition
My favorite Seton tradition is singing the alma mater after Mass. It lifts the energy and gives me a sense of Seton unity.

    Seton Extra-Curricular Activities
Seton Scholars Club Ambassadors Club Seton Track and Field National Honors Society

    Favorite Class
My favorite class was Public Speaking with Coach Brown. This was my favorite class because he helped me become more comfortable at Seton. Because I took this class freshman year, the silly skits and activities that I performed in front of my classmates actually helped me overcome my shyness and allowed me to make friends.

    Favorite Teacher
My favorite teacher at Seton is Ms. Peake. I had Ms. Peake as a math teacher both freshman and sophomore year. Ms. Peake is my favorite teacher because she built my self confidence in my ability to do math. I came to her almost every day after school to understand problems I had trouble with. Her dedication was greatly appreciated.

How have you been able to stay connected to your Seton Sisters while distance learning?
I still talk to my friends while distance learning.

The Seton Spirit is contagious. The great energy is reciprocated through the halls, in the classrooms, and in the pep rallies.

One thing so far about distance learning that you have found yourself appreciating.
I have found myself to appreciate teachers' office hours. In school, everyone was able to have one on one time with the teachers, if we were having trouble learning a concept. Now, most communication takes place through emails as it is hard to properly articulate problems that we are having.

Best memory from your Seton experience so far.
My best memory from my Seton experience is going to Marshall University with my track team. It was the last meet of indoor season and everyone PR'd.

    Favorite Seton Tradition
One of my favorite Seton traditions occurs on Field Day. All of the four classes or different grade levels gather in the gymnasium waiting, in anticipation and excitement, for the signal to transition to different seating areas. This transition conveys our "growth" or "leveling up" to be ready to graduate out of Seton and taking on the world.

    Extra-curricular Activities
    Step Team and Tri-M.

    Favorite Class
World History has been my favorite class taken at Seton. My former World History teacher taught the class with such fervor that it made learning about history deem fun. Also, World History class influenced me to learn more about global history and to read about the news: local, domestic, and global.

    Favorite Teacher
Ms. Smith is my favorite teacher because she makes an effort to have us, students, creating a conversation about and around religion. Her broad approach to these conversations conveys her trying to understand our perspective of religion and coming to an understanding of what we should do, as a Seton community, to help ourselves, our friends & family, and others.

How have you been able to stay connected to your Seton Sisters while distance learning?

    Favorite Seton Tradition
Field Day and Staff Christmas Show

    Extra-curricular Activities
Black Student Union, Varsity Lacrosse, Varsity Soccer, Student Council, Scholars Program, Ambassadors, Girl Up, Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

    Favorite Class
LEAD because each assignment is a new "challenge" and the feeling I get when I complete it is similar to winning a lacrosse/soccer game. The last assignment was to build a house and then equip it with a system that detects a fire, alerts the "people", and suppresses it. I didn't get to compete because of the virus but after many trials we completed it.

    Favorite Teacher
I really can't choose one teacher. I feel like a great thing about Seton is that all of the teachers are invested in us as not just students but people who have lives outside of school. I can positively say that each one of my teachers has had an impact on me outside of schoolwork at least once during the past three years.

How have you been able to stay connected to your Seton Sisters while distance learning?
Yes; via texts, facetime, and social media

    Describe the Seton Spirit
Okay so the Seton sisterhood sounds like this big cliché, but I promise it's true. At Seton, no matter what "group" you're in, everyone cares about each other. Your sports, clubs, programs, and classes do not put a limit on the special connections you can make at Seton. When I think of the Seton sisterhood I picture this past year during soccer playoffs.  Our team was facing elimination against some really good teams and almost everyone in the school showed up to support. It was not just “the athletes” or the people “into sports”. It was girls from every area of the Seton community. And they didn't just show up once, they showed up to every game until it was over.

One thing so far about distance learning that you have found yourself appreciating.
Haha I like being able to choose when I have lunch.

Best memory from your Seton experience so far.
Freshman year during spirit week my class beat the senior class in tug of war for the "championship" and even though it was a small event in the whole competition it was still like really cool. Since it was the first spirit week we were basically the babies on campus and we took out the people who had been there forever.
