Letter from Coach Cage
Athletics are a vital part of the Elizabeth Seton experience. Our athletic program fields 23 teams in 13
interscholastic sports and is open to all students. Seton is a member of the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.
In keeping with the school's philosophy and mission, Seton is committed to challenging our students to develop intellectually, morally, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our athletic program is an extension of our school's mission and a vital component of our school community. Our student athletes not only improve their athletic abilities but are encouraged to develop good sportsmanship, responsibility, loyalty, and team camaraderie. The Seton coaching staff teaches and emphasizes these same values.
The 2008-2009 season boasted several exciting highlights, including field hockey playing in the WCAC Championship, soccer being ranked 10th in The Washington Post, basketball finishing third in the WCAC as well as landing in the top 20 in The Washington Post, and our track team capturing its third straight WCAC Championship.
The Seton Athletic Program is defined not only by wins and losses, but by how our student athletes fulfill the school's mission, build and display good character, and exemplify the school's core values.
Go Roadrunners!
