Application Process

Incoming Freshmen

Elizabeth Seton High School admits approximately 160 students to the freshman class each year. The deadline for submitting admissions material for entry into ninth grade is December 14, 2017. Each eighth grade applicant should provide the following in order to be considered for admission:

Eighth grade students presently attending Catholic elementary schools must:

  • Submit Seton’s application and application fee by December 14, 2017
  • List Seton as one of their three choices at their Catholic middle school
  • Take the HSPT given at their school in November and select Seton as one of their high school choices on the test day

Eighth grade students not attending Catholic elementary schools must:

  • Submit Seton’s application and application fee by December 14, 2017
  • Submit two teacher recommendations
  • Forward an academic transcript containing final 7th grade grades, first quarter of 8th grade grades, and standardized testing from 6th or 7th grade from their present school
  • Register for the Archdiocesan Entrance Exam (HSPT) given in December and select Seton as one of their high school choices on the test day

Transfer Students

Elizabeth Seton High School admits a limited number of sophomore and junior students each year, depending on space. In order to be considered for transfer admission, a student must:

  • Submit Seton's application and application fee by December 14, 2017
  • Submit two teacher recommendations

  • Forward an academic transcript, including the most recent academic semester
